Camping Essentials “A” List

A camping essentials list is a must-have. You can’t go wrong by making lists, especially when it comes to camping!  After thirty years of camping I still make lists. There are things the campsite needs, things I personally need, the menu, and so on. The list below is what I call the “A” list.  It’s all the things you absolutely cannot do without for a successful camping trip. You can click here for the “B” list; that is the list of things you can take that are good to have.  You don’t absolutely need them, but they make camping conditions more comfortable or convenient.

It’s best to print out both lists; that way you can pick and choose from “B” if you still have some room but not much.

The lines at the bottom are for things you consider essential that aren’t on the list, or for taking notes.

Other essential items:

Sometimes what one person considers essential another doesn’t, and vice versa.  The list below is for anything you may feel you cannot do without on a camping trip.  Or, just fill in with extras you might want.  HINT: Print out multiple copies of this list and keep it in a folder taped to the lid of one of your storage bins. Pull one out and fill it out each time you go camping.
